Welcome to our Tenerife Apartment at Hotel Marino in Costa del Silencio.  Situated in the sunny South of Tenerife, only 10 minutes drive from Reina Sofia Airport our apartment is in a fantastic location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. From our 2 spacious balconies, you can enjoy far reaching views of the ocean, Montana Amarilla, Montana Roja and El Medano

  • Great for couples, families & divers

    A family resort, Hotel Marino is a fantastic location for both couples and families.  Away from the hustle and bustle of Playa de las Americas, Costa del Silencio is a popular area with a good selection of bars and restaurants.  Silencio is only a short walk away from the picturesque village of Las Galletas with a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants.  There is a small stony beach and a lovely fishing harbour and marina with a promenade.  For the more active holidaymakers, a few minutes drive away you will find the golfing resorts of Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf

    Hotel facilities

    The complex has a large heated swimming pool and a small children's pool.  There is a playground for children and entertainment and games are provided by the hotel animation team.  The complex has a pool bar and restaurant together with an indoor bar and restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner.  Kaygan's Bar, a British run bar is also on site serving home cooked British food and showing British TV.  There is a 24 hour reception where excursions and car hire etc can be booked.  There is family entertainment each night in Koko Bongo with acts such as Flamenco, Brazilian Dancers, Magicians etc. There is also a Scuba Diving Centre and hair salon in the complex

  • The apartment

    The apartment is tastefully decorated and the layout is as follows:-

    LOUNGE - The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs, coffee table, side tables, sideboard, TV, DVD player, video player, CD, ipod docking station and a large selection of DVDs, videos and books

    BEDROOM - The bedroom has 1 double bed, 1 single bed and 1 pull out bed which can be used either in the bedroom or in the lounge.  There is a large chest of drawers, mirror and double wardrobe.  Both the bedroom and lounge have balconies

    KITCHEN - The kitchen has a 2 ring electric hob, full size fridge, full size freezer, combination microwave oven, together with a range of cupboards with crockery, kitchen utensils etc.  There is a washing machine in the bathroom

    BATHROOM - The bathroom has a toilet, a sink, a small bath with shower, washing machine

    BEDDING / TOWELS - All bed linen. towels, bath mats etc are provided

  • Location

    Hotel Marino is situated in Costa del Silencio and offers the best of both worlds - easy access to Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos or in the other direction Los Abrigos and El Medano. The apartment is within walking distance of Las Galletas, a beautiful fishing village with a  small beach. Click here to see the live webcam in Las Galletas Harbour.  Silencio is a great base to explore the Island either by car or public transport.  A full programme of excursions depart from the Marino complex on a daily basis to the Loro Parque, Siam Parque, Mount Teide etc

    Things to do

    Here is a list of our favourite excursions and things to do in Tenerife.  Click on the titles to visit websites:-

    Siam Parque - A fantastic water theme park only 10 minutes drive from the apartment.  Tickets are approx €28 adults and €18 for children

    Loro Parque - In Puerto de la Cruz, this is a great family day out and well worth a visit.  Parrots, sea lions, dolphins, killer whales, penguins and lots more.  Tickets are approx €31 for adults and €20 for children

    Monkey Park - We visit the Money Park every time we are in Tenerife.  With lots of varieties of monkeys, including chimps, lemurs etc.  Get there early morning around 10am when the animals are quite hungry and take along raisins for the lemurs and monkey nuts for the small monkeys and bananas or grapes for the larger ones.  You go into the cages with the small moneys and lemurs and they sit on your shoulders!  Tickets are approx €10 for adults and €5 for children  

    Los Abrigos - A beautiful fishing village about 10 minutes drive from the apartment, renowned locally for its fish restaurants.  One of our favourite places to eat is Restaurante Los Abrigos or if you want to splash out a little more, Los Roques

    El Medano - We love El Medano as it's unspoilt and very typically Spanish.  The sandy dunes are fabulous and the wooden walkway along the seafront is lovely.  There are some good tapas bars and restaurants and a number of small shops.  Kite-surfing and wind-surfing is the main activity in El Medano due to the strong breeze and you will find surfers types wandering around everywhere!  There is a good craft and jewellery market on Saturday mornings

    Mount Teide - the third largest volcano in the world from it's base, visiting Mount Teide is a must when visiting Tenerife.  You will even find snow up there during the winter months! Teide is 3718m above sea level and the scenery is outstanding

    Dolphin Boat / Catamaran Trips - various trips can be booked to see the pilot whales and dolphins.  We generally use Tenerife Sunshine to book excursions and these can be booked before you leave the UK.  This is a fabulous family day out and very reasonably priced

    Car Hire - we always use Auto Reisen, they are the cheapest you will find and have an easy reservation and pickup process. Prices start at around €15 per day. You collect your keys from the arrival hall at the airport
